Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the MotoBaana mobile application created by Heikki Turja (the "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

1. Information Collection and Use

1.1 Location Data

MotoBaana requires access to your device's location to provide core mapping features, including:

• Displaying your current position on the map.

Data Handling: This location data is processed locally on your device. It is not transmitted to the Service Provider's servers or any third-party databases, unless you explicitly choose to publish a Community Route.

1.2 Technical Data

We may collect basic technical information to improve the Application, such as your device model and OS version. This data is handled ephemerally via our hosting providers.

2. How We Share Your Routes

All routes are created voluntarily by you. Sharing your routes within MotoBaana is also entirely voluntary. When you choose to "share" or "publish" a Community Route, it simply means making that route visible to other MotoBaana users. We do not sell your route data to advertisers or any third-party marketing companies.

3. Third-Party Services

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:

• Google Play Services
• Cloudflare (Content Delivery)
• Fintraffic / Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (Digitraffic): Provides real-time "Road Condition" (WMS) layers. To fetch these layers, the Application sends the geographic coordinates of the map area currently being viewed. This request also includes your IP address, which is used by their servers to deliver the data.
• OpenStreetMap / MapLibre (Map Rendering)
• Supabase (Database & Anonymous Auth for Community features)

4. Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your data. If you wish to have your information deleted, please contact us at pikipixel@proton.me. We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Children's Privacy

This Application does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such data has been provided, we will delete it immediately.
